Default Documentation - how to guide?

I have looked over the site and the support forums and have not found any documentation or user manual, or reference to either. Is a user manual or other documentation a part of the download or otherwise available? While the screen shots are interesting, they do not discuss how to install and then run xShop.

Also, does the installation of xShop in any way disable the standard osCMax interface, or can it still be accessed for site work if desired?

Thank you.

Virtbizguy,

There is a helpfile that installs with xShop that goes into detail about how to connect to your store. There is also the SASoft Product FAQ's forum that details the steps that you will have to go through to connect to your store using xShop.

xShop is a standalone application that will not interfere with the web interface or disable any features that you currently have set up. You can switch freely between xShop and the oscMax interface without any problems.

Quick Start says

In the Connections menu, click on Manage Connections
Make sure the connection you created previously has a check mark next to it, and it says Active. If not, click the check box and click the close button.

No where does it say Manage connections or is there a check box. I have tried creating a connection with no luck. I do it all the time with programs such as smart FTP. It is probably me but tried every possible angle I could think of. I put in firstname and last name in registration as well as email

Blayne,

The Manage connections section was not needed in the trial version as it only allows one at a time. I have removed that from the quick start guide.

Start a new thread regarding your connection issue. It is pretty straightforward if you meet all the requirements.

Folks,

I have downloaded the xShop trial and tried it out on a site and thus far it looks AWESOME! The ability to control attributes together within the product rather than via the attributes area alone is worth the price. I think this may be a REAL WINNER!

One other quesrtion I have: Is there any sort of usage (not setup, that you have added, thank you) guide that assists in how to perform fucntions in xShop.

For those of us who have built a number of osCMax and OSC sites, I can see how we have a big head start, but for new users, I am thinking they might just be confused about how to do what in xShop.

Also, can some functions, such as copying products to more than one category, be performed in xShop, and, if so, how?

Thank you, Klaus

The help file in the trial has a lot of the basics already in it, and pretty much covers all of the menu options. We are still adding to the documentation base, and will be making more and more available in the coming days as it is completed.

Copying to multiple categories is not yet implemented but is slated to be added to the base feature set.

Thank you.That sounds great.

I have just purchased the xShop. I used the trial version all afternnon and found is amazingly well set out and useful even without the several add-ons you have planned for the future. I believe the time I saved on clicnt work just today using the xShop interface has already paid for the cost of your software.
