Default Dynamic Mo Pics support

Do I assume correctly that in order to use Dynamic Mo Pics, one cannot do that using the xShop. It looks like you can input the primary "primary.gif" via the xShop gui but that the remainder of the series (primary.jpg, primary_1.gif, primary_1.jpg, etc) would all have to be inpout via the osCMax gui?

Or?

Thanks, Klaus

That is correct. Dynamic Mo Pics support has not yet been added into xShop.

All dynamic mopics support would equate to is the admin settings, which are fully integrated into xShop, and the only other thing would be FTP image uploading.

Tools >> Edit Configuration >> Dynamic Mopics

The osCMax GUI does not have an input area for the extra images in dynamic mopics. That is not how mopics works. Remember, all you do is pre-set the name template and path in the admin panel, then simply upload the images via ftp.

You can fully configure Dynamic Mopics in the Configuration section of xShop exactly how you would configure it in the osCMax web admin, and then all you need to do is FTP your images to the correct place. So really xShop has the exact same functionality as the osCMax web admin in regards to Dynamic Mopics.

That is right of course. Beyond the setup on osCMax, there is nothing in the gui that controls the images. But, since you have done such a great job of placing almost all (you are planning to add inventory and multiple categories in future updates, you have said) product properties and variables into one place, it would be great if in the future you incorporated the Dynamic Mo Pics setup as well as ftp uploading in as well in future updates. If you follow what I am saying, at this point, while the xShop product os very fine, the administrator is still required to learn and use BOTH the osCMax gui as well as the xShop. While that is OK, if more time consuming, for those of us who have prior experience, it is not so good for new developers who would not know that some aspects of control are missing in xShop and then find that they also had to cherry pick learning the osCMax gui.

Thanks, Klaus
