| | Not working over here :( Oh well, guess I am out of luck.
My xShop connects great to my SQL server, and it even shows me some information on the program (customers, store configuration, ...)
But in Tools/Categories , Store Manager/Product Catalog and Store Manager/Orders are empty.
My OSCMAX is a plain installation I am finishing with only one module (Quantity Price Breaks for Separate Pricing Per Customer), so just in case I imported a complete SQL database from before I installed that module, and the results are the same.
Any hints on where to start looking what might be wrong? |

I have not seen that behavior before. Perhaps try it on an unmodified osCMax install first to rule out your computer configuration as part of the problem.
Regarding Store Manager >> Orders, did you click some of the other radio buttons to see if you can see orders from other time frames?
And one last thing, does that SPPC mod you added changed the customer/orders and categories tables at all? If so how?

| | Re: Not working over here :( Nope, I do not get any error messages.
I actually seem to correct fine, and I can see I have 4 customers and 3 products on the store. It is almost a clean install, I have only configured it, modified some spanish texts, and installed a module. |

| | Re: Not working over here :( On the product I do not get any of the 3 test products I have added. Categories come out empy too:
On the customer screen I do get to see the 4 customers.
I will try to upload a clean SQL db and try again, but I already tried it with a DB from before I added the QPB for SPPC module and didn't make a difference |

| | Re: Not working over here :( I imported the default OSCMAX database (file /catalog/install/osCMax.sql inside oscmax2_RC3_0_1.zip) and still no luck.
When I entered xShop, I had 0 products. I created one product from inside xShop, but it wasn't showing up. I closed xShop, relaunched it, and now I got 1 product, but I still can not see it from inside the program.
I don't know exactly what connection info you need.
My server info is attached in PDF (I renamed it to .ZIP since the forums would only allow a 19.5k PDF attach... wtf :?).

| | Re: Not working over here :( PM the connection info to me (username, database name, host name and password). Don't post it to the public forums, send it to me in a Private Message (PM). I will then try to connect to the database using xshop from my location.
I will PM you my IP address so that you can allow me remote access to the database.

| | Re: Not working over here :( This looks like it has to do with you changing the default language to Espanol.
I am researching this more now, to see if I can find the issue. Check Tools >> Languages.
Is there an option for Espanol listed?

| | Re: Not working over here :( I have verified that there is a bug with the display code in several of the screens when dealing with different default languages than English. Until we get the problem fixed, you will not be able to view your non-English products.
The issue is that xShop is not detecting the default language correctly. We are working on a bugfix.

| | Re: Not working over here :( Doh... Ok then, guess I will have to wait. I do keep my language files on my OSCMAX installation, but I only have spanish language enabled on the web site, so everyone will see everything in spanish since I probably won't be bothering with other languages.
Thank you, and guess I will have to hang around for a fix then! |

| | Re: Not working over here :( I added a product, and now xShop shows one product under Statistics but nothing in the Product Catalogue or the Category list.
This all looks like a good idea in the making? What does $190 for the licensed version get me, if fully functioning trial version doesn't function?

| | Re: Not working over here :( Gary, yes this was fixed. Read the release notes here: xShop v1.1 for osCMax released 9/24/07
To get products showing you need to select a default language for xShop. Do the following:
1. Connect to your store
2. In the Tools menu select Set Default Language
3. Choose your default language and save.
In the upcoming release this will be selected to default to english automatically by xShop if it is not configured already upon installation.
Next, $189.99 gets you the absolute best way to manage an osCMax based store. Nothing on the market comes close to the feature set, and expandability.
If you do not see the advantages immediately, thet is why we offer the trial in the first place. If you need a way to improve work flow, query response time and save time overall, that is what xShop is all about.
Drag and drop features to easily add, move, remove and re organize categories, products, attributes. Mass product/price updates, Speed improvements on the order of 1500% for the most intensive queries and at least 150% on all other queries, multiple changes per single screen without waiting for pages to load, the list goes on and on.
Use it for 30 days and let us know what you think. Whether you decide to use xShop or not, your evaluation is important to us and will help shape our future path with xShop. I am very confident that once you use it for a few days, you will really start to enjoy using it, especially when compared to the web based manager, but either way, let us know!
