xShop Setup

xShop Setup can be found on the main menu and is used to configure xShop. The xShop Setup screen is broken out into six tabs: Company Setup, Main Page Charts, Invoice, Packing Slip, FTP, and User Registration.


Company Setup
The Company Setup tab allows you to set up the company information (company name and address) and the company logo. This information is only used for the Invoice and Packing Slip. Once you enter the company information and add the company logo, click the Save button. This will commit the company data so when you re-enter xShop Setup and edit the Invoice or Packing Slip, you will be able to see your company data on the Invoice and Packing Slip preview.

Main Page Charts
The Main Page Charts tab allows you to configure the two charts that are displayed on the main xShop screen once you connect to your store. Each chart can be set to display the data for three to thirteen months. The charts can also be displayed in 2-D or 3-D.

Invoice
When setting up the Invoice, make sure that the company information has already been saved. The invoice Title and Subtitle can be set. Your company’s address can be displayed on the left or on the right side of the invoice. If a company logo has been set (on the Company Setup tab), it can be displayed on the left or the right side of the invoice. As changes are made, they are displayed in the live invoice preview.

Packing Slip
When setting up the Packing Slip, make sure that the company information has already been saved. The packing slip Title and Subtitle can be set. Your company’s address can be displayed on the left or on the right side of the packing slip. If a company logo has been set (on the Company Setup tab), it can be displayed on the left or the right side of the packing slip. As changes are made, they are displayed in the live packing slip preview.

FTP
The FTP tab is used to set how xShop handles images. If you want xShop to display images (for categories, languages, manufacturers, and products) make sure to check the Always Display Remote Image checkbox. If you have a slower connection speed, or have no reason to view the images associated with the items that you are looking at, don’t check the Always Display Remote Image checkbox.
If you want the images to be saved to your hard drive, set the Local Image Path. All files will be saved at the local image path. If you check the Mirror Remote Image Path checkbox, all of the files will be saved to the local image path in a subfolder that mirrors the remote image path. When setting the Local Image Path, make sure to finish the path with a backslash (e.g. C:\Temp\ )

User Registration
The User Registration tab is where you will have to enter your first name, last name, and e-mail address that you used when you set up your account with SASoft. This information must be set in order to use xShop.
